Step 1: Get to know our Pageant

Thank you for your interest in the Miss Asian Global and Miss Asian America Pageant, which will be held on August 12, 2017 at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco. The pageant is produced entirely by volunteers, an amazing group of talented and skilled individuals, who have dedicated countless hours to ensure a memorable event.

Since its inception, the Pageant has been more than a platform for the growth and inspiration of young Asian American women. The Pageant displays the rich ethnic diversity of our society and gives us a glimpse into the many different cultures that surrounds us today. It is also been about building a strong global. In the past, delegates have worked for nationwide and regional charitable organizations. As a delegate, you will not only shine, but you will also be a part of a team working together for our community. The Pageant is dedicated to the promise of investing in our next generation. We showcase young Asian  women in a colorful production that represents their culture, intelligence and talent. The Pageant has established a reputation for quality entertainment and integrity in judging.

The Miss Asian Global Queen will receive a USD$3,000 scholarship and the Miss Asian America Queen will receive a USD$3,000 scholarship, sponsored by Monster Cable and Asian America Foundation. Individuals, including those without prior pageant or modeling experience, are encouraged to apply and join the Miss Asian  Global/America Pageant family.

Qualifications

In order to be qualified to apply, you must be:

    • At least one-fourth Asian
    • Female at birth
    • Between the ages of 17-28
    • Single and never married nor given birth
    • Citizens worldwide (not only US residents)

      The Miss Asian Global and Miss Asian America Pageant accepts ladies who claim ancestry from the countries of: Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, East Timor, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Macao, South Korea, North Korea (with valid refugee status), Japan, Mainland China, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Yemen, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, the ethnic Asian groups of the former Soviet Union, the ethnic group of Hmong from Southern China, and the islands of the Pacific and Indian oceans.       Delegate Requirements

      Commitment

      Delegates need to commit to all training events five days prior to pageant day. In addition, Bay Area delegates are required to participate in additional events in the San Francisco area.

      Costs

      Upon acceptance, delegates submit a USD $500.00 registration fee for California residents or USD $400.00 for non-California residents (discounted to subsidize travel costs). You are also responsible for travel costs to and from San Francisco, in addition to clothing, shoes, and accessories required. A non-refundable USD $50.00 application fee is also required.

      Talent (optional)

      The talent showcase is selected through an audition process. In order to audition, complete the “Talent” portion of the online application and submit a 2-5 minute video link or DVD demonstrating the talent you intend on performing for the Talent Competition. The video link or DVD must be viewable with sound and picture.

      Acceptance

      When considering an applicant, we not only look at the appearance and vitality of an individual, but moreover, one’s character, intellect, and personality. Our application is designed to provide freedom and flexibility to demonstrate – your interests, accomplishments, and attributes. The diversity of our delegates reflects this. We bring together women from various ethnic origins around the world; from cities and small towns; from high school students to doctorate.

      Titles

      Delegates will be vying for a position as a finalist and of course, the crown of Miss Asian Global, Miss Asian America and First Princess, Second Princess, and Third Princess. The Miss Asian California and Miss Asian San Francisco titles go to the delegates with the highest score from those respective areas and Miss Talent is the top winner of the talent segment. delegates determine the Miss Congeniality title. In recognition of outstanding academic and volunteer work, we award the Miss Scholastic Achievement and Miss Community Service titles according to information provided in the application and supplemental materials.
